    Detroit offers up the 9th and 17th and D prospects beats the Nashville offer. Without offering up Askarov there's no way Nashville is getting the 5th overall pick.

    And oh FYI Montreal isn't looking to drop no more than 3 spots. So there's no way they're dropping to #15 overall.

    Habs fans have an unearthly obsession with other teams goalie prospects when in reality your GM ACTUALLY cares more about trading up lmao.

    Its not that Habs fans think they're going to get Askarov, its that Nashville won't be able to make a compelling offer without him. Tomasino and lesser 1sts + a 2nd just aren't enough to get that high in this draft.

    That's super weird consider Tomasino is like 3x more proven than Askarov is. He's MORE valuable right now.

    I hope Trotz doesn't move up. Too pricey

    No its not. Montreal needs potentially elite talent. Tomasino is a nice young player, but that's not what he is. Montreal doesn't need quantity either.

    Well according to Friedman that offer is definitely on the table for the 5OA pick, Doesn't matter what i say i trust in Yzerman. I think it's only if Will Smith is available at 5 or for Ryan Leonard. Don't see Yzerman going after Michkov.

    Ah, that makes sense. I was wondering what had happened to make Michkov that much more valuable in the past few days. Hadn't seen that report yet, but I'd love that package for Montreal.
