No way Bjornfort signs for less than a million given his NHL experience. His qualifying offer alone is $874,125.

Avs probably consider that trade. Not sure if Grundstrom fills much of a need for us, though. We will likely just bring back one of Nieto, Helm, or Cogliano to fill a similar role.

Bjornfot will sign his qualifying offer. Mikey Anderson was 1LD for two years and signed a 1 year, $1M extension last season.

Much like Knies did when he signed in Toronto without signing bonuses, Bjornfot likely understands that asking for more money will lessen the chance he has to make the team due to the Kings cap situation.

Bjornfot played 10 games with the Kings last season, he'll sacrifice whatever he can to get NHL minutes, this is his opportunity as Moverare has played a similar game and a cheaper cap hit.

Is it bad I’m hoping Toronto buys out Murray? Blake’s comments today don’t exactly leave them with a ton of viable options to slot in beside Copley.

Thompson would be awesome, but I’m not prepared to move mountains to get him moved inter-division.

Ideally, it's Matt Murray after a buyout, but he might command $2M and price us out. I'd look at any big-bodied goalie who has played a 1B role, which is why I picked Stolarz.

Kings will sign two goalies, one to back up Portillo in Ontario, and one to back up Copley.

If thats the tandem I would have concerns I know Phoenix's wins and all but that feels like a downgrade

Move out Arvidsson and then go get a proper starter

Toronto and LA have made good deals in the past could see something like Murray ret and pick for Arvidsson or something

Both teams have a want and in the past both know how to work out deals

Muzzin for Durzi + Grundstrom and 1st

Campbell and Clifford for 2 3rds + Moore

I can see Grundstrom filling Malgin’s spot but paying two picks (albeit late round picks) rather than resigning Malgin doesn’t seem smart.

Price point is an issue yeah. Being reunited with his old goalie coach could possibly get him to come down, one would hope.

Ukko Pekka-Luukkonen is another guy I’ve thought the Kings could take a flyer on. Doesn’t exactly fit the experience criteria, but it’s a big body for Buckley to work with and could potentially become more than just a stop gap.

Lyon is the guy I’d want in Ontario.

Certainly true. Hopefully Treliving can pick up those relations where Dubas left off.

Could definitely see something like that if Blake opts to move Arvidsson, and the pricier options price themselves out.

What about Martin Jones for 900k? Helped Seattle get to the playoffs. Stolarz sucked

From what I have heard that guy has good relations with everyone

As to who hes gonna trade with first 0 idea

Dubas loved trading with STL and LAK

Tree had his teams to but usually I see GM's sometimes trade tactics on new teams lets see

The Ducks sucked defensively too though.

Jones put up a pretty bad .886 sv % this year, and .905 sv % for his career

Stolarz was bad at .897 sv % this year, but has averaged .911 sv % for his career. And that's been with a worse team in front of him.
