Sabres are not waiting till deadline to get Klingberg for 1st round pick.. On top of that he is not kind of a player they are looking for.

How about no. We're not signing Klingberg. Yamamoto is probably being flipped. Kostin isn't taking 800k

Hard no from Buffalo, a 1st and a 3rd for a 30 year old pending UFA?

I mean the Klingberg trade is irrational and the other trades are just bad.

So the player who got a 4th round pick at last year's deadline will somehow get a first and a third at the deadline this year?

Klim Kostin is seeking 2-3 years @ $2,000,000 per no way he's taking $800,000

Buffalo passes, And Detroit passes on the rest.

We'll see. He took $750K last year. What are his options?

He plays over in the KHL that's his option, Holland tried to sign him that cheaply. And he and his agent said no.

Ok then he goes to the KHL. Problem solved. But why did he take $750K over the KHL last year?

No taxes, So he takes home more money in Mother Russia.

My point is he took $750K last year in CANADA over Russia....what makes it different now that he is in a better tax situation? I think it's a bit of a bluff tbh.

First the Buffalo trade:
When I see other ACGM's asking for Buffalo's 2024 first, guess what, it just will not happen.

Unbelievable great first or second round picks for the past 7 years:
Mittelstadt Luukkonen late 2nd
Dahlin Samuelsson early 2nd
Cozens Johnson
Quinn Peterka early 2nd
Power Rosen
Savoie Ostlund Kulich
Benson (Wahlberg could be a real sleeper, check out https://dobberprospects.com/team/buffalo-sabres/ he ranked just below Kulich but above Savoie)
Benson was an incredible steal refering to Dobber again, he has a higher upside the Power!

In addition there will be players later in the draft that will contribute.
Potentially 14 top six forwards or top pairing defensemen in seven years.

They will be keeping their first round picks.

That makes 14 potential NHL players in the past 7 years.
Add Wahlberg, it could be 15 or more.

Second, Klim:
https://dobberhockey.com/2023/05/27/free-agency-2023-updated-salary-projections-for-the-top-100-free-agents/
It could be as high as $2,500,000 for Gospodin Klim Kostin

How close has DOBBER been on any of the deals so far?
