AAV is less than I thought. No real risk to a Carolina team who has cap space, and who I can't see adding a ton of money to their roster this summer

That's a great contract. Obviously injuries are a concern, but he's Elite when he's playing.

Why sign Anderson and Raanta, when u have Kotchekov at 2M$ ready to play in the show. AAV is not that bad but I just dont understand this move, knowing that Anderson as difficulty staying healthy

2 years is interesting, but love the money for freddie. 3 goalie situation.....but maybe they do something like roll 3 goalies, never know with roddy. Great contract imo, welcome back to Raanta and Freddie.

So I guess the plan becomes
2023-24: Freddie/Raanta with Kochetkov getting a ton of games in the AHL (wherever their affiliate is next year) and coming up when one of the NHLers gets hurt
2024-25: Freddie/Kochetkov

You have Kotchekov ready for more NHL time yet you decide to run it back with the same tandem...well then.

Honestly he’s a stud when he’s feeling himself, then when he isn’t confident put raanta in

their cap situation is pretty solid as of right now. i think this is a smart signing for Carolina because, if yer concerned about Freddie getting hurt, you have an ever reliable Raanta. and with Kotchetkov signed for $2.0x2, i figure that running three goalies is a safe plan. this team is fairly stacked as it is already and 3 good goalies makes them even scarier.
