Description

Honest option from both teams, who says no?
Canes get an elite goal scorer who can help them pot 40 goals. Scoring is the hardest thing to dod in the NHL. Lilly slides into that third pair and continues to develop into a sturdy top 4 guy .
Leafs get an elite shut down D in Pesce they have needed for years that can play beside anyone. They also get a young winger who has proven to put up points early in his career.

Canes wouldn't give up Jarvis for Meier. They certainly aren't giving him up for this

I have no clue why Leafs fans think Jarvis is available.

Young Top 6 forward on ELC and likely to sign a bridge deal (or team friendly long term deal) is quite valuable to a team in a championship window.

Nylander is better than Jarvis, but sometimes the whole situation needs to be evaluated

Leafs will not be retaining or giving up Lily in any Nylander trade. Don't undervalue Willy because fans of other teams try to convince you otherwise.

Goal scoring is the most premium asset in the league and 40 goal scorers don't grow on trees. You have to pay to trade for an asset like that in their prime.

I agree with this now that we know Nylander’s request is $10m AAV. That’s not gonna happen in Carolina.
