Girard trade would only happen if we've secured dumba. Based off hronek deal and the fact chicago has 1LHD on here right now.
Edmunson for depth and grit for playoffs
Boyd for depth and another center incase of injuries, can also move down to 4C if we add another piece with spare cap space at deadline.

I'm a fan of Boyd for sure. Not sure Arizona is interested in any more draft capital. Also not sure if Chicago sees the need to part with any draft capital right now.

yeah i didn't take any of their picks for that reason but with jones and murphy as their top 2 on the right side i thought they would have interest in a good puck moving d man to pair with one of them.

i think arizona would be happy trading out Boyd but i’d have to agree with this user in saying that they’d be much more interesting in players who r ready to help them out asap.

also, washington just acquired Joel, why would he wants to trade him away for less & have dead cap because of it?

I mean, I didn't like us getting Edmundson to begin with, but it makes even less sense to acquire him just to retain and flip him for practically the same thing

I don't mind the idea of trading Girard for futures but not overly keen on the targets. I'd say you could do better for less targeting current UFAs, especially with the cap space generated and keep the picks to re-stock.

CHI declines. Girard won't be a target, and I doubt they will be targeting any players in trade for at least another few years, unless they are cap dumps that bring in assets that help our rebuild or the rebuild starts moving along a lot faster than anyone anticipated.

Nah, they're interested in getting more young talent to grow around Bedard. They don't need to set themselves up to win right now, they need to be able to win in about 5 years.

Hawks decline. Tinordi is the only LD as of now because the Hawks seem committed to playing their young guns on the left side this season. At least two (and maybe three) of Vlasic, Phillips, Kaiser and Roos move up from Rockford. Hawks may also still take a cap dump D man as @Garak said, or as a last resort, just sign a UFA on a one year deal. All better options than trading away three 2nd rounders at this point.

If the Avs shop any of their LHD they’d probably want a top 6 forward in return, but in the case of Girard (especially if its done next offseason to clear room to resign Towes) a surplus of picks could also work to replenish the avs draft capital.
