Tre Dream

Created by: TMLBRIAN
Team: 2023-24 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 7, 2023
Published: Jul. 7, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I doubt this is possible but I am curious to see what Tre does with our defence. We have very good defencemen but we are lacking size and physicality on the back. I am surprised by the Klingberg signing since he didn't fit that mold. Plus we had Timmins in that role (clearly not as good). We will see if he can pull anything off.

This AGM is a full overhaul.

What do you think Tre would do? I can see the Calgary trade being the most realistic and the Anaheim trade being possible as well. Anaheim trade can be done with several teams.

Anaheim would make the pick conditional -- that it be the later of the two 2024 seconds the Ducks own.

Nylander for Wilson would be chaotic and probably not work out long term for the Leafs so I would love it.

I'd choose a different team for Murray, like Arizona - can't see Anaheim wanting to take on salary now. Value would probably still work though.

Can't see the Blues trading Parayko, let alone for that.

I can see that happening for sure. That is not an unreasonable demand.

Yea - it's wishful thinking. He still has silly potential and he is super hard working. I hope he can stay healthy for a year, so we can see.

For sure. To be honest, I think it's in Toronto's best interest to keep him right now. He's waiver-exempt so let him get another year in the AHL. Prove that he can stay healthy for a year & let him drive his value back up. Next offseason, assuming all goes well, Toronto can either call him up and use him or trade him when his value isn't at it's lowest.

Can't argue with that. I hope we keep him also.

Dude. No. The caps aren’t trading wilson. This is a terrible trade for the caps.

Pass on the Wilson trade. He's also a pending Ufa. I also much prefer Nylander
