Interesting proposal for CBJ. It’s probably fair value as a move to dump Elvis, while also picking up a potential 1C fill-in until Fantilli is ready..

Issue is I’m not sure Blackwood is any better, so in net feels like a lateral move, if not a step backward.

Don’t mind that the Canes trade, but I highly doubt that Grier makes that move.

all the UFAs should come in below what you posted. especially Puljujarvi- he wont get half that. Dumba shouldnt be more than $4.5mil on a short contract- he had an awful year, and should rebound- but he doesnt have much leverage. He may be this years Klingberg.

I would take Merzlikins over Blackwood any day, Elvis has shown flashes of being a good NHLer..much more than Blackwood. I dont see Columbus trading away a 1st round pick though- because it very well could be another lottery pick if they dont fix the goaltending/defensive play.

that list of draft picks though would make any gm drool.

I was a very big Blackwood guy as a rookie, but yeah, I wouldn't expect anything from him now. I think it's a fair value, especially considering the 1st is in 25 and not next year. Just a question whether they think they'll have an answer in net or not. I'd maybe try and push for 500k more retention on Couture, but that's probably pushing it. I really would not mind this as all (though I can't see it actually happening). I've really liked Couture with retention as an option at C for CBJ, just don't think SJ would be keen on another longer term retention

No one is giving you the Mrazek deal for Murray, Dubas duped a rookie Gm in chicago and Murray can stay healthy for 5 min. FC is about where the Murray discussions start

Lol, Murray had better numbers than Mrazek and is a cheaper buyout

Pens can't take that deal unless they move Cap, whether it be to SJS or elsewhere, can only happen if they move cap out.
