I’d keep Forsberg. One injury to Korpisalo and we’re starting Sogaard and Leevi in net, they’re good young guys but definitely not ready to be starters/spot starters in the NHL yet. Having Sogaard as the top guy in Belleville will let him play more games, and he’ll be the callup if either Korpi or Forsberg get injured. The year after I can see us moving Forsberg and letting Sogaard be the backup (depending on his progress)

I do agree, but have to trim around the edges to fit an equal strong lineup. I think Sogaard is advanced enough to take the backup job. Taking shgots by NHL players in practice and as a NHL Backup, I think will actually help him. Our goalies don't tend to develop well in the minors. They seem to develop m,ore when they get a taste of the NHL. Gustavsson, Daccord, Lehner, etc. I think Forsberg and Joseph are the two disposible pieces we have to improve the rest of the lineup. No to mention look where we found Forsberg? Picked him up off waivers. Can always find a serviceable backup really cheap.

Hawks counteroffer of Colin Blackwell for Joseph, one of Jarventie or Osapchuk, plus a 5th. Hawks are probably not the right place to shop Joseph as to them he will be a pure contract dump and the compensation to take him will need to be compelling/interesting.

    1. We're going into next season with Korpisalo/Forsberg as our goalie tandem and I don't see that changing.

    2. The trade with Chicago benefits neither team.

Hawks decline. They don't have a spot for Joseph this season. Try calling back next summer.
