Sending Bennstrom down and risking a waivers loss is crazy when you have Foudy on the roster. I am of the opinion his runway has run out - and is way more likely to clear than Bennstrom.
Interesting you opted to send Sillinger down and dress Voronokov......
I am.of the school of thought the Jackets may not he done reshaping the roster.... they have the talent to make a major move and upgrade at forward. As it sits, this roster just doesn't get close to a playoff spot imo, which would make Jarmo's reshaping the blueline for not...... an opinion not shared by other Jackets fans. But - the organizational depth is there to do it, so if the move makes sense, I think another major move is coming.
Interesting you seem to have so many opinions on the Jackets' players when you can't even spell half their names.
They sent Bemstrom down last year and he cleared waivers, so it's not that crazy. He's gotten more opportunity than Foudy, and Foudy was a former 1st round pick so he is going to get more chances and would also be more likely to be claimed, so he will stay up.
Foudy also showed much more potential last year, and even if his offensive game doesn't come around, at least he is fast and will hit people, unlike Bemstrom, which makes him a better fit on the 4th line.
I watched a handful of Ak-Bars games last year and Voronkov stood out in every one. He plays a combative style and while not super skilled, knows how to get to the scoring areas and makes a lot of tips and rebounds. He reminds me a lot of Boone Jenner. Sillinger has a great work ethic, but there are major flaws in his game, namely his skating and his ability to anticipate the play. More time in Cleveland would serve him well.
I do think this team has the potential to make the playoffs. Still a lot of "ifs" just like last year, but the talent, toughness and depth are there. I have faith that Babcock can get this team to play to their potential. I guess we'll see.
