true but buffalo is one of a few teams that have a bunch of cap space but even though, buffalo should focus on getting a goalie

Getting the worlds best player is something every team will look at in 2026.
Buffalo has a fantastic young goalie (Levi) who will be a starte for a long time in the league. Kid is awesome.

This is in two years when McDavid only has one year left on contract. For only one year of guarantee, this offer is plenty. If it comes with an 8 year $17 million extension, then maybe more.

No... this is not enough for 1 year of McDavid... McDavid is going to put up 150 points anywhere he plays. Peterka is good, nothing special. Savoie is okay, not great. That and 2 1sts ain't touching someone whose already in the conversation for what, top 10 players ever?
