Vladar ship has sailed for Detroit what with the signings of Reimer and Lyon. Flames should be able to find a home for Darth Vladar. With half retention Vancouver might be interested. Canucks fans would know better than me. Then there's the whole "rivals helping out rivals" thing. LOL

Edit: Does any player want to play in Calgary anymore? ☹️

I think it was Freidman that reported Colorado was interested in Backlund before they traded for Johansen. Now that they have Johansen & Colton, I would think they’re probably out on Backlund. I do think they need another center who can PK, but not at Backlund’s price (trade & AAV).

Avs only have two players (LOC and Cogs) in their bottom 6 that PK. I doubt he gets moved.

BOS isn’t going to have much interest in Noah anymore, they would definitely take it him but he would be a “luxury” not a necessity. I would love to have him and just put Loheri at 3LD next year instead of in the top 4 but not sure BOS can afford to overpay for atleast a 1C and have that luxury.

Now Lindholm would be a necessity, personally not a huge fan of his age with the next contract coming but maybe if he’s willing to take little more $ on like a 6 year deal that would be more palatable. But either way BOS would have a lot of interest in him(along with like half the league)

They're definitely going to make Colton and/or Wood PK but, yeah, they aren't trading LOC

Correct on all accounts. Even if they wanted Backlund now, they couldn't afford him. Only $2.8M in cap space and should look for a depth forward and d-man with it.

Agreed with all above. Before we got RyJo and Colton, this is a move I would've seriously considered. But honestly goes to show you how valuable OC is to us. The thought of trading him is just bonkers to me.

Wood has never been responsible in his own end and usually is the reason the team is on the pk to begin with. I can see Colton assuming a PK center role with his 4x4 deal. Him and LOC or Lehk could be solid.
