Harley won't be in a Pesce trade. If anything, the Stars would include Bourque instead, simply due to the logjam of forwards they have.

And I'm not sure Nill would entertain losing Bourque AND a 1st Round Pick. He's not one that regularly trades away 1st Round Picks. Don't see him doing it two years in a row. As much as I'd love to snag Pesce, at the end of the day I don't see Nill giving up this kind of package for him.

Bruins decline pretty easily... don't really have a need on LD and no reason to take on additionally cap

So Mike Grier eats $14,000,000 on Erik Karlsson for a cap dump in Faska and 2 late 1st round picks. Yeah don't see that happening.

I get the feeling that Benning may prefer a size upgrade on LD, like he did at the trade deadline with Orlov.

Grier could rather eat $39m on the highest paid dman salary in the league on a tanking team with no futures for a rebuild.

Sweeney* and he probably did it because the team was all-in, it's unlikely it happens again. Also, they got Orlov for picks, not by trading another roster player and creating a hole. Finally, Bruins need like 2 other forwards before adding another top4 D and they should probably not even try to add one.

Never said he wasn't, But it's still not enough going back to the Sharks to eat $14,000,000 on Karlsson for the next 4 seasons.

Not sure who Benning is, but not at that price for a rental, BOS will likely see how Loheri does on a call up before making any LD decisions. And if Bergeron doesn’t return they will have a lot more pressing needs to address before LD

You mean Montgomery/Sweeney?

Maybe it would make sense then for a Grz/Skjei swap... but even then Boston would be taking on additional cap which doesn't work and Debrusk wouldn't be included
