▐▐▐▐ ▬ {My} [23'-24'] PITTSBURGH PENGUIN ADDS ▬▐▐▐▐

▬ C- I. LUNDESTROM #21 ▬ 23yrs old ▬ 6'0" 201lbs :
Defensive Responsible 3C w/ Top 9 Skill, could legit fill in @ Top 6 Center if 87 or 71 miss cpl gms. Perfect "Buy Low" coming off sophomore slump season in [22'-23'] after breakout 16G season in [21'-22'].

▬ RW- O. WAHLSTROM #26 ▬ 23yrs old ▬ 6'2"/ 211lbs :
HUGE fan of this Top 9 RWer, prob more of a 3rd line RWer BUT could be thee Perfect "Young Legs" type winger w/ Sid at this point of career. Another "Buy Low" guy but is also a Big Risk coming off ACL.

▬ RHD- A. PEEKE #20 ▬ 25yrs old ▬ 6'3"/ 203lbs :
Love this young Defensive RHD, plays w/ a mean streak but can move the puck. Another player coming off a down yr, Bad analytics & contract kicking in, is a Risk, but could be a perfect Change of Scenery.

▬ C/RW- Ty DELLANDREA #53 ▬ 22yrs old ▬ 6'0"/ 191lbs :
Huge fan of My-Ty's since taken #13 overall in 18' Draft, coming off solid 1st pro yr, hard working, great 2-way Forward, & a Bottom 6 RW now, could be a Great 3C or Top 9 RW or more in a cpl yrs.

▬ RHD- EK65 ==== BIG RISK BUT FOR THE RIGHT PRICE, OK

▬ G- K. KAHKONEN #36 ▬ 26yrs old ▬ 6'2"/ 215lbs :
Another "Buy Low" after bad season on Bad team of {37GP / 3.85GAA / .883sv%} But 2-1/2 prior yrs of {36GP / 2.86GAA / .912sv%} & {29GP / 2.89GAA / .290sv%} I'd bet on him getting back to that on a better team.

Peeke is the only young trade target that is supposedly available. Karlsson trade is very weak for SJ.

Why would the Isles do this? Our defense is set....if we move Wahlstrom its in a package for a top scorer

Because it's not real and he can do whatever he wants?

Anaheim isn’t trading you Isac Lundeström for a AHL forward and an overpaid 6th/7th defensemen

EK with that much retention will cost multiple firsts especially if you aren’t including any good prospects and are dumping granlund. Can’t see the jackets giving Peeke away for that little

I always appreciate the level of detail you include in your posts that shows your reasoning. I don't necessarily agree with it, but I still like to see it.

Dallas and Petry both decline that deal, and you'll have to give up more to convince Columbus to part with Peeke to a team within the division for exactly the reasons you listed (not to mention that Peeke is exactly a Babcock prototype player, and has been shouted out by Babcock by name in almost every interview so far as a player he wants to work with-- no matter how much fans including me would love to see him moved).

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I have a feeling the return for EK65 will be less than most people think. Only time will tell.

Dallas is not moving Dellandrea for an aging defender we don't have the cap for. Delly is excellent for us for every reason you listed, is future captain material, being cost controlled, and being mentored by Pavelski to take over his spot on the first line.

Don’t think there’s much incentive for those teams your targeting buy low candidates from. I get they’re not worth a ton for various reasons but can’t tell why ANA would move him for essentially nothing, DAL and Petry likely decline, etc.

Also not much quality value going to ek. I don’t think he’ll get a massive haul but with retention and dumping cap to them so it works for PIT, you’d actually need to give some firsts and or valuable prospects.
