The only reason the Rangers are close is the property value associated with MSG arena. As property values continue to increase in Toronto (faster than NY), Leafs have caught up. They also make more money than any other team.
TV ratings are best gauge of a team’s popularity and it isn’t even close; leafs in a landslide.
I would think as a Canucks fan (or any team in canada or close to border - buffalo, Detroit) you’d know based on leaf fans outnumbering you in your own buildings but some people choose to ignore what doesn’t suit their narrative

1. This point is funny considering who ended up as the ECF and WCF in the SC
2. 100% true, but every fan base does that (at least the ones in Canada)
3. Where was this excuse?
4. Their 1LW and starting goalie got hurt mid-series, but the rookie goalie being in def. didn't change the outcome at all!

TBF, there are teams are better than Vegas... they just got knocked out by other teams... Colorado, Boston are 2 teams that immediately come to mind

Umm... Yes, we do...our depth is our strength. What happens in the playoffs is our top-six scoring dries up... We're Carolina not Toronto or Edmonton. Dude... Jesper Fast, and Jordan Martinook were the kind of players that allowed us to go to the ECF.

Fluke? The Canucks were back to back president trophy winners. You’re acting like they had some sort of Cinderella run when instead they were one of the best teams in the league during that time 😂. But of course, all other teams are flukes

The trap? We used the trap for about a year. In 1995 playoffs and in 1995-96 regular season. By 1997, it was gone. And through late 1990s through early 2000s, we were one of the highest scoring teams in league.

Who is acting proud? Let’s go over the chain of events here… canes fan posts playoff predictions , i and other leaf and non leaf fans call him out for the obscene homerism (they just got swept!). You ride in on your - I can only assume a - Subaru outback to save hurricanes fans from the big, mean leafs fan. Get over yourself - no one asked your opinion but if you take shots at the leafs I (we) should be able to defend ourselves, seems only fair

Leafs had been tanking for over 4 years then... they were overdue for a number 1 overall pick
