1.
TOR
  1. Zadorov, Nikita ($1,875,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Calgary acquires Brodie who could be moved at the deadline for them to acquire more assets and Steeves, a good young prospect ready to make the jump and a 5th just for a nice little treat on top.
CGY
  1. Brodie, TJ
  2. Steeves, Alex
  3. 2024 5th round pick (CHI)
2.
TOR
  1. 2024 3rd round pick (PIT)
  2. 2024 3rd round pick (SJS)
Additional Details:
Anaheim receives Jarnkrok who is a solid player to compliment their young rebuilding team, good placeholder that can forecheck and chip in goals, could be moved for assets if desired. Timmins adds some potential scoring ability from their blueline. Could really takeoff with the young stars in Anaheim over the next season or 2 with the right opportunity and growth. They can eaaaasily afford to move these mid round picks for some soild pieces that can apply to their NHL lineup now.
3.
TOR
  1. Byfield, Quinton
  2. Dvorak, Jakub
  3. 2024 1st round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
This is a trade deadline move. Kings move Arvidsson for assets as he's not able to provide what Nylander can do for them. Kings lock Nylander up to a long term deal upon receiving him. Toronto is able to afford to retain this season for him to help Kings fit him in. Kings don't have room for Byfield to play into a bigger role going forward as they're loaded at C with Kopi, PLD, Danault.
LAK
  1. Nylander, William ($3,000,000 retained)

That's all that matters though really. Get er done Brad.

As it sits the team has 300k in cap space, if they wait till the TDL to trade Nylander and virtually not take on any cap that means they go the whole season 6.6m over cap lol

You're living in a dream world my guy.

Flames have a deeper forward group? How so? Got nothing left from what I can see. And they can make some other little moves to sort out the cap.

Deeper means depth. Just because Calgary doesn't have as much high end talent doesn't mean they aren't overflowing with middle 6 talent. Steeves would not make the team before any of Huberdeau, Mangiapane, Dube, Sharangovich, Coleman, Pelletier, Coronato, Ruzicka, Duehr, or even Zary. He's at best on par with Ben Jones as a healthy scratch player but since Jones no-longer waiver exempt he would be the one that stays on the roster

No thought on what Nylander's so called extension and how it affects the Kings cap next season. How can guarantee that Nylander extends anyway?
I'd rather have years of Jarnkrok and Tmmins than one year of Dumba
Can't see Jarnkrok waiving to a non playoff team who have cap.

If that the Leafs get out on top of every trade is all that matters, why even make these trade suggestions, why trade away players from Toronto at all?
Just get Byfield and Zadorov and whoever for Future considerations.

Jarnkrok fits perfectly. He's so versatile, LW, C, RW. Wherever there's a gap in the top 9 he's there. He's Pagliacci.

We already have that, it's called Adam Henrique, and frankly, he's better, so no, there is not fit, since we have no open roster spot.

Those two are worth maybe a third combined, not a third each. Timmins looked good, in incredibly limited sample size, in massively sheltered minutes, and skill was never his issue, it was staying healthy.

No you're missing it, I had an explanation wrote up that explained that they entice Kane to join at the deadline which is why its easier to move off Nylander at the deadline and just mostly get futures for him. The cap space works out.

Teams do it all the time, they have the discussion in place and extend at the time of the deal. And Timmins won't really have a spot if Liljegren is around and Niemela makes the jump soon. Jarnkrok is alright but adding Dumba for this all in run of a year seems a lot more fun.

Sorry bud....I can't think of one occasion where a Cup contender asks one of their star players to negotiate a contract with another team when the player is one year left till UFA. Just not true, teams do ALL the time.
Why wouldn't Timmins have a spot on the Leafs in 24/25? Only RHD under contract is Liljegren (his new RFA contract)...not Brodie...or Zaradov or Dumba by your post.

I looked into it for quite some time actually, analyzed the numbers and values. Works out.

Clearly time well spent..

Well you failed basic math because Calgary has 2.4 MM in Cap and is retaining on Zadorov out of the goodness of their hearts (or perhaps that 5th round treat on top). Quantitatively or qualitatively this trade is one sided. I'm shocked it took so much time to analyze.

Appreciate the wiseness on the Leafs being the team on that deal to be iffy about pulling the trigger, these Kings peeps are like WHAT? NO WAY. Hilarious.

No.

I’m gonna hate his new contract. It’s not that hard of a concept.
