Lundestrom is a young middle 6 C at the NHL level. Rutta is an overly expensive depth piece and Nylander is a never was. That doesn't add up to middle 6C

Anaheim declines. Dumba will be a downgrade.

Why would we want to trade our #3C for two guys we don't need? Nylander doesn't look like he'll ever be more than a fourth-liner and Rutta is a third-pairing defenseman.

That would make Dumba equal cost to Petry now and Dumba is a much lesser player.

If Sabres think Petry is good value for two more years, it could be a deal. Petry's trade list might very well include Sabres.

First off Matt Dumba doesn't sign that, Good luck getting him any cheaper than 5 x 5 mil.

And Buffalo just added to their D core, So i doubt they've any interest in adding Jeff Petry.

You're essentially paying Dumba the same as Petry - and Petry is better by a pretty good margin. Pass
