As a Hawks fan, I'm open to a Laf trade for sure. I don't think Reichel will be in that mix, BUT I'm open to discussion. I like Laf alot. He's a young physical LWer and isn't afraid to go to crash the net.

Then keep them and everyone is happy. Rangers decline.

I've seen it. It came out a while ago. July 8th. I agree that Laf next to Bedard would be good. I'm just not convinced it's THAT much better than Reichel next to Bedard. I'm open to trading for Laf, but doubt Reichel's in that conversation. the TBL 1st...of course. But then wouldn't the Rangers want a different position anyway? Isn't Othmann you're next man up for LW? From the outside looking in, wouldn't you rather than a defense prospect? Zac Jones and Matthew Robertson aren't exactly screaming NHL starters.

Would rather keep Reichel as LW2 even if he doesn't play with Bedard full-time, doesn't mean we have to go and off the guy. You need 4 full lines, not just someone who can play with Bedard. That formula hasn't worked for Edmonton with Drai and McJesus.

Yeah, I'm with ya. I do think Laf will excel in a situation though. the NYR are messing up his development. Again, I wouldn't have Reichel in the deal, but I'm open to a trade for him.

To me, it's a longer term play. I'd personally role 3 different lines and give as even ice time as possible. Hall is good to have, but he's not in the cards for too much longer. Laf has played the 3rd line role. He's VERY physical for a 21 year old. He just needs more ice time. So in this hypothetical situation...whatever line he ends up on...at least 17 min a game. None of this 13-15 ATOI nonsense that the Rangers are doing.
