This is definitely a godfather-type offer for Swayman. But the cap implications of this deal would result in the Bruins needing to shed more players and send assets right back out in order to do it. And I still am not crazy about trading Sway OR bringing in Scheifele, but throwing in that 2024 first round pick this year is enticing.

1- asking WAY too much for a RENTAL goalie

2- and yes, he would be just a rental for us, bc we are t gonna sign a goalie his age to the long term deal he wants

3- ZERO CHANCE a deal like this happens

Yeah, can't see Buffalo giving that up for a rental. Think the Sabres already knew when they resigned Girgensons that they were basically running it back. If Adams wanted Hellebuyck I think he would have pulled the trigger already.

Jets aren’t buying swayman, especially for this ridiculousness, if Buffalo plus extension and helly had mutual interest, it would have happened at the draft or before they signed the veteran blueline. Helly and scheifele are jets until there’s a multi piece package in the season, probably with retention and a hungry gm is feeling the pressure. Possibly similar to kane and bogosian leaving town. Something exciting, something short term, something long term and something to hopefully win the deal. Just a prediction same as anyone else.

I can't see Buffalo trading Mittelstadt with Quinn being out for most of the season. Unless they think a AHL player is up to it.
