It's more fascinating with how the Rangers will navigate this situation ... jealous... hell no the Hawks did it right when they had their #1 overall pick in Kane and their #3 overall in Toews pan out and win them 3 cups in 6 years. It's more like watching a car wreck with #1 overall Laf get the bottom 6 minutes and #2 overall in Kakko still yet to show anything near that level. Rangers Cup Window smashed shut this offseason.

May be an unpopular opinion but Zegras is worth much more than this package. Laf hasn't proven to be much of a "star" and that includes flashes as well, Chytil is a real nice middle 6 scorer but won't ever exceed being a 20 goal 50 point guy. The 2nd isn't insanely valuable as it'll probably be 20-32, Zegras is a much more valuable piece to the ducks, not only is he by far the best player in this deal but his play style is electric and will be a huge part of the Ducks identity going forward. This trade would be a momentum killer for them.

Hawks - Bolts are the only two dynasty teams of the Cup era. That's impressive.

Two of the most insufferable fan bases in all of sports are Bostonians and New Yorkers. Thankfully Bruins fans all realize the window is closing, so they are mostly wandering off the the Celtics or the Red Sox.

Rangers fans still think they have a chance despite how poorly Laf and Kakko have developed. Any contradiction to that is not received well.

Naaah, we're good. We'll sign Trevor for 8 this summer and that will be that.

We won't be that good this season, but next season McTavish, Zegras, Terry, Killorn and Carlsson will be 5 of a nice top 6 and there are all those defensive A prospects coming up . . .
