I think even then it's probably a long shot. If the Sabres are in true contention it's likely they just double down on whats already there. Like "hey look I was right all along, dont need help".

Also Kevyn Adams is allergic to trading his former first rounders.

I mean, if Savard has a 30+ pt pace at deadline, and even more improved defense numbers than last year he could be amazingly appealing and BUF could be laking another RD for next year, but overall, that is prob a longshot

No cause clifton has term, it would be him Jokiharju and Dahlin on the right side for the foreseeable future. If Clifton or Jokiharju were UFA's I might be inclined to agree. But this isnt a GM who likes to deal so Savard is probably way off their list.

Don't see any need for Savard in Buffalo. They don't lack physicality on the back end now between Dahlin, Samuelsson, Clifton, Lyubushkin and EJ. Savard just doesn't appear much better than what they already have, and not at the expense of Rosen.

They have way too many RHD
RHD : Clifton, Johnson, Joker, Lybushkin and Dahlin plays on his offside
They really don't need Savard

It doesn't make sense and not at the expense of Rosen, but Savard is way better than Clifton Johnson Joker and Lybushkin

Congratulations for being the first resurrected Monahan to the Avs trade of a new season! However, COL will pass yet again because Monahan is a bad fit stylistically and if COL wanted him or even had interest in him they would have at least talked to him in FA, but they didn’t. Hard easy pass.

No reason to trade away Savard before the last year of his contract. Youth need veteran presence.

Again with the Monahan for a 1st crap again? Give it a break. In his “prove it” season with MTL, surprise surprise, he got hurt lol. Then signed for a measly contract because, wait for it, the interest from the rest of the league wasn’t there lol. COL declines, Monahan is a paperweight for the time being until he can string together two healthy seasons
