No to the Oilers trade. Broberg + 1st ain't enough. Foegele doesn't do anything. He flopped here once, he didn't work in a Rod system.

What is the purpose of the Islanders trade? Carolina need more scoring so you trade a top six winger for spare parts?

Sharks aren’t giving up a conditional 1st, or even a 2nd for that matter, for Drury. Very much and overpay

Why would the Canes go into the season with $8.5m cap space?

yes Drury was/is a player they are interested in for the Karlsson trade but to argue he is worth a conditional 1st when he hasn’t produced at the NHL level and his AHL stats haven’t been “eye popping” I would say this wouldn’t be considered fair value.

Foegele isn’t of interest to canes and why did you trade turbo for futures leaving so much cap space? When I was reading through your acgm I thought you’d have another big trade or signing, feels incomplete and you’ve made the team worse.

Foegele 5V5 analytics is pretty good though?

They're okay, but they're not great. Also, there's this number 97 or 29 he plays with a lot which impact his stats a ton

Edmonton isn't trading Broberg + a 1st for a Pesce rental though, that's a massive overpay. And adding Foegele makes it even less appealing, while also no mitigating Pesce's cap hit. Meaning that Edmonton can't afford that deal even if they wanted to overpay.

You realize that this information is publicly available, right? Here are Foegele's stats for when he WASN'T with McDavid or Draisaitl (the vast majority of his TOI):

56.19 CF%
53.73 SF%
56.48 xGF%
55.98 SCF%
60.35 HDCF%

We'll keep him, thanks! It's been a long time since Edmonton's bottom-6 wasn't giving back everything that their top-6 gave them.

28% of his TOI since coming to EDM has been with one of McDavid or Draisaitl. Why comment on something you don't know about when you can just look it up?

Can we all just agree that Pesce to EDM simply isn't a fit based on what each fanbase expects/needs out of such a trade (at least on CF)? We've beaten this one to death at this point.
