(In reality…we were the youngest team to get to second round in, I believe, 6-7 years…and for two straight seasons were youngest team in league…it’s weird how so many see NJD as aging).

Vanecek is a throw in, NJD dont need him, all he is, is a UFA signing for them, so its a 1st and Holtz(who isnt as good as he should be) and a goalie replacement.

There isn't much of a market for Hellebuyck so doubt the return will be great and Vanecek isn't a cap dump so he has value, also I'm not sure NJ wants to trade Vanecek as I think they might want to run a Helle/Vanecek tandem and have Schmid developing in the minors for the season.
