You're asking for basically 2 1sts for Lindholm? No thanks... he's a 60 point forward whose great defensively. With that logic, Teuvo Teravainen should net this kind of return... I like Lindholm, but he's so overrated on here

That is one sick set of centers you got lined up there. Assuming you're just clowning around. Eric Staal be like "I'm a 1C again." Paul Statsny be like "Hey...".

That's the going rate for top centers.

NSH declines. NSH is not interested in Tanev because defense already has a logjam and Dube is not worth a 1st and 2nd, especially when those will likely be in the top half of those rounds.

As determined by the Nazem Kadri trade! No... Hmm, let's see. Bo Horvat! No, and Horvat was probably more valuable at the time... Schiefele? Maybe, but I'd argue Schiefele will get more (even though he shouldn't) because of his goal scoring...

Horvat pretty much went for 2 1sts and a 2nd. And Dubas is an idiot.

Pretty easy “No” from the Sabres

We aren’t paying a 2nd, for a 3rd pair guy
That’s ridiculous

I think zadorov is worth like a 2nd and a half, if that makes sense. If he added a 3rd going back with Zadorov would that work?

Probably not,
as we already have 9 “nhl” defensemen

Sure, Zadorov is an upgrade on our LD3
But i don’t see us giving up a 2nd for a “rental”
Maybe a 3rd?
But even then, we’d (most likely) have to get rid of some of the excess defensemen we already have first

Dubas is an idiot tears of joy I'm not even disagreeing or laughing at you, that just made me physically laugh. Thank you needed that, been a rough day.

Horvat went for a 1st, Raty and Beauvillier. You can argue Beauvillier's cap is worth the same as the retention on Lindholm I guess, but I'd also argue Horvat was having a much better year than Lindholm is coming off of. Obviously that died in New York, but the Canucks were selling unbelievably high during a contract year

Yeah can't see Buffalo doing this, we already cornered the market on bottom pair D, we have like 6 already.

Backlund 50% retained gets a 1st/2nd + prospect. Hanifin same idea, perhaps a bit more since he's younger. Dumping Campbell costs a 1st + prospect. There is a massive deficiency of value in that Edmonton trade.

In what world? They're both 60 point players, same age, both excellent defensively. Lindholm is overrated because of his totals when his wingers were 2 of the best in the league. Lindholm on his own line is a 60 point guy. Teuvo on his own is a 60 point guy.

One plays centre, one has got over 75 points twice and the other guys has only got over 20 goals twice. I wonder which one is more wanted around the league then the other.

You’d argue different if the trade didn’t involve the Canes. Suddenly everyone on your team is better and everyone else sucks. Go outside man

One played with Tkachuk and Gaudreau when he put up those point totals while the other has put up 75 points with Lucas Wallmark and Warren Foegele... I'd bet it's closer than you think

Nope, I've argued this forever. One needed 2 of the best wingers in the league to reach 75 points, one did it with a 3rd liner and a KHLer...

Teuvo is washed. Was last close to a ppg in the 2019 season. I think any GM with a developed frontal lobe is going to choose the 2-way center good for 60+ points. Get outta here man stop arguing this 😭

You want to try that again? He's had one bad year because he got brained and then had JG Pageau break his hand with a slash. 65 points in 77 games the year before, 15 in 21 before that, 63 in 68 before that... stop it. Are you trolling or clueless? Let's look at Lindholm's stats!

64 in 80 this last year in his first year without Tkachuk and Gaudreau, lets note that.
82 in 82 with Gaudreau and Tkachuk, 47 in 56 with Gaudreau and Tkachuk, 54 in 70 with Gaudreau and Tkachuk...You really think he's worth more than Teuvo? He's been on a comparable pace if not better than this dude for most of the last 4 years apart from one year when that entire line went nuts, and then two of the top, what 10? Wingers in the league left, he dropped off to worse than Tuevo's career average...

You’re forgetting where Lindholm is more desirable as a center and is much more defensively responsible. Come on bro, for once in your life just drop the homerism. Not everybody that wears that stupid hurricane logo is gods gift to hockey. come down to earth and stop being unlikeable.
