At this point in his career, $8.1M is overly generous for Kane. I can't imagine any GM is foolish enough to give him three years either, given his age and health.

NSH is paying too much for Girard, especially when they already have a full compliment of LDs with three or more years of term remaining. I think COL will have to find a different team to trade with.

No point in moving Fabbro for that low of a return.

Novak deserves a spot in the lineup over guys like Gurianov and Smith.

Up the 6th a bit and the Avs have to consider it imo.

There isn’t a team in the league less in need of RD than Columbus. How about Vancouver, which is desperate for it and happens to be the city Fabbro is from?

Why? They save $2.25M to significantly downgrade to a guy who turns 34 this year and is signed until he’s 37. The Avs should have no interest in this.

My bad, hadn't realised Schenn had signed for 3, thought he was on a 1 year deal. In that case I agree, definite pass.

I would honestly be more tempted to consider this if Schenn was taken out and it was just the picks.

That was my first thought, up the pick and I'd be interested (Hronek + 4th for 1st + 2nd being my benchmark) but with Schenn signed for 3 years I think that ends up as negative value to the Avs in this trade. With him signed for 1 and the pick upped I'd have considered it.

If we do have to dump Sammy G or Toews for something (either because we suck this year or next offseason to recoup some assets), it just doesn't make sense to try and replace them at all. Get some draft capital and start doing some sort of prayer ritual to get Malinski ready for the show lol.

Avs get more grit, cap space, and an unprotected 1st? I'd take a hard look at that if I were CMac
