Can't complain about league minimum. Could see some time with the Leafs this season, more than likely he gets a real look next season with so many empty roster spots.

Wow! 2 years! Now it just makes sense for the Oilers to trade McDavid for Abruzzese 1-for-1!

Fantastic signing for the Leafs, love the type of player Abruzzese is. Looked great with the Marlies and made the most of his short stint with the Leafs

At worst, he's a good AHLer who can play NHL games in an emergency call-up role. And since he's only 24, there's a chance he could still develop into a decent bottom six option.

Honestly, it just goes to show how bare the Leafs are in prospects.
He's what? 24? Played maybe 15 NHL games and he has a 2yr contract. Obviously leafs don't have prospects dieing for ice time.

shocked to learn that a team that's been trading away a lot of draft picks recently don't have many prospects. someone should investigate this.

It's a 2-way contract for both years, and he still has one more year where he's waivers exempt, so it's not like they're counting on him to become an NHL regular.

Ya I agree. It's just very different from the Mtl perspective where even at the AHL level they're top2/3 lines are very competitive.
What I mean to say is Mtl has no need to take a guy that has little NHL upside in future.
