If the Stars trade Bourque for two years of late stage Petry I'll be gobsmacked.

LOL no. If Bourque is used as a trade piece it would have to be to get Pesce.

No. That would be the kind of move that would have Nill chased out of Dallas.

You can ask for a prospect, but they won't be named Bourque, Stankoven or Harley. (Stars fans feel free to add to that list).

Tell ya what bud. Do an ACGM where the Habs move Slafs for Suter. See what happens, because that is exactly what you are asking here.

Yes. Yes it is. May wanna look at Bourque's numbers. Had a solid first year of pro hockey. Stars are doing well by him.

Draft position means nothing. Development is everything. Look no further than your head coach. HHOF and WAS NEVER DRAFTED.

Bichsel, Grushnikov, most of the defense prospects(could maybe trade Kyrou as he’s more of just a pure offensive guy and not really needed if the power play 2 is run by Harley or Nils already). Really if we want a solid 1-6 on defense in the future and want to avoid trying to bargain bin shop for washed veterans then we need guys that can skate well, pass and play well defensively too, in order to do that they need a large pool to draw from (unfortunately once the guys that don’t make it by a certain age have gotten to that point they have no trade value but it’s better than losing the opportunity to build a top to bottom solid defense corps).

I thank you for the additional input.
