Kakko was a great pick, they just can't develop. If it was just him I'd say bad luck, but him and Laf not panning out is telling.

Playing on the second line and Being a 2nd line winger are two different things IMO. His production and play style is very much that of a scoring 3rd liner. I think there's a lot of teams where his not in the top 6

Yeah that kind of reinforces what I'm saying. Really solid defensive winger with decent-to-mediocre offense. That's an ideal 3rd line winger on a competitive team.

With that said I think he'll find his scoring touch in the next couple years and will likely get to top 6 production, but it's just not there yet. If he develops a bit of a mean streak I could see him being a Mark Stone type player at his peak

If NYR could figure out how to develop a player him and laf would be good hahahaha. Tough to come into an already playoff team and crack the top 6 as a skilled forward but laf if he want back to the Q after his draft woulda had 200 points so where else could you really go

Exactly, he just needs to bring up his offensive production and he would be a great second liner

Kakko Dach and Z are prob too low. Zegras is a top 5 player in the draft, he prob deserves at least A-

Easily the best player on that line. Put him with Mika and Panarin and just watch

They mentioned how his letter for Dach was biased on him in Chicago, if it were Montreal include then I would agree he is too low but they picked 3rd overall and got little to show for it. If Nazar turns into something it softens the blow, but still the potential star power they could have had was “wasted.”
