Dougie Hamilton had a better WAR, better xWAR, better G+/- RAPM, more points (by 47!), a better 5v5 goal differential, a better relTM G+/- (Slavin was actually negative), a better gamescore, and a better GSVA.
The single net-metric in which Slavin grades out better than Hamilton is expected goals.
He's not terrible defensively, miles better than ek65
Not miles better maybe a little bit better and karlsson is a game changer compared to Hughes he can actually score goals and takeover a game all by himself
Quin Hughes has 26 goals in his entire career karlsson had 25 this year and 20 at even strength
You're telling me that the playmaking defenseman is NOT scoring a ton of goals? Your previous comment said Hughes is not good defensively, but you seriously are going to put Karlsson here?

Karlsson had most of his points at even strength unlike Hughes he also is able to single handily takeover a game hughes has 26 career goals karlsson scored that many last year

Hughes had most of his point as even strength. Hughes can't take a game over? Might want to check the stats and the multiple NHL records that Hughes has at 23 years old. If you're using GOALS as a way to measure a DEFENSEMAN, then you're doing things wrong... How about you check their defensive analytics.
He had one slightly down season and suddenly he's not top 10? He was a Norris finalist for 6 straight years, winning one and winning the Smythe. Dude is one of the best offensively and defensively.
Dude was over a point per game in 2021-22 and has gone to three straight cup finals. A little burnout last year but he's still easy top 10

To not consider Hedman a top 10 D in the NHL is just.....idk
