Canucks pass, from a value point it's okay however from a team construction pov this trade makes no sense for us, we are already deep on wings and thin at C trading our #2c for a winger just doesn't make sense for us

My understanding was that Miller was no longer a good fit in Vancouver, seemed like that was the case from afar. The addition of Raty and the potential of trading away Boeser and Garland, as well as the fact this is not a competitive roster as is, makes this seem more likely than you suggest. Not to mention the chemistry Nylander and Petterson could have.

You can have a 5th and 7th for Brodie and his $7,500,000 owed, certainly not a 2nd

It's hilarious when people bring up what is owed instead of the actual cap hit as if it's coming out of their wallet. Brodie is capable of playing on almost any shutdown pair in the league, this helps you more than all that money you're saving your owner.... I think you need to get a better grasp on trade values my friend.

There is a very vocal minority of people that think Miller is no longer a fit in Vancouver however the reality of it is that couldn't be anymore false, Miller has been a great fit in Vancouver ever since he got here, and is still a very important player to the team, the addition of Räty is nice however he is still 2 years out from being an NHL player, for better or for worse management believes this is a competitive roster, with the belief mindset it makes zero sense to move Miller for Nylander, Miller has been the better player since he has gotten to Vancouver and plays in a position of weakness for us compared to Nylander playing in a position of strength for us, that's also not mention the intangibles off the puck he brings, this package just doesn't fit our needs sorry but this a lot less likely than you think.

Habs obviously pass, zero need for Timmins. No need to trade Savard for anything but draft picks, especially with retention. Drop Timmins, add a first, Habs consider.

Habs don't touch that. Especially since it would use our final retention spot for an asset we don't need.

If the Leafs traded Nylander for Miller I would laugh so freaking hard

NSH definitely passes, just like every other time someone (Leaf fans) tries to send Jarnkrok to NSH.

MTL is going to need something of value to use that retention slot, also a pass.

Ducks are very young and not cracking a playoff spot next year, brodie brings nothing for them and dont laugh at some elses take and than act like brodie is an elite shutdown dman lol. There may be a team out there that will take him on but most teams that are going to be making a push entering the season dont have 5 mil of cap space.

I can't wait to here your take on why trading a 27 year old 40 goal scorer for a guy who's turning 31 and is about to start an 8 year deal that he'll never live up to.

Man does this come off as condescending. Unfortunately he’s also got a point that you seem ignorant to. Ana isn’t Toronto. They’re a small market team that actually does care about money owed. They aren’t competing this year, so a one year rental from a team lacking leverage because they’re over the cap isn’t happening. You gotta step off your high horse my friend
