Congrats on getting the job. I do have some interest in Glendening, however I currently have way more cap space tied up in a bunch of bottom six forwards who aren't that great. I'll get back to you on this soon.

Sekera is a good replacement, but he's injured right now, so Merrill is included so he takes the 3LHD spot while Del Zotto moves up until Sekera comes back

As I said before I'm not too keen on Sekera especially considering he's 9 years older than Maatta. Merrill is a borderline NHL d-man who I have no need for with guys like Graves, Kampfer, Saarijarvi, Lindbohm, McEneny and Russo already.

I'm not a huge Methot fan. I'd be willing to do something around Maatta for Petrovic though.

I do have some interest in a Jonathan Ericsson swap for a guy on your trade block in Carl Soderberg. You do seem to have a slight hole at the 3rd LD spot which is what he'll play this year. I feel like Letestu played like a 3rd liner last year and John Mitchell would be a solid 4th C. Let me know if you are interested in that as a base, I'd probably add something small because of the cap differential. I'd rather not retain and I don't think you're in need of that, but I could toss in someone, I'd probably firmly offer Rudolfs Balcers or Noah Rod on top of Ericsson to attempt to get a deal done. Maybe Poturalski could be considered as well if you were keen on a Center coming back in the deal. He did a solid job in the AHL and will likely be groomed for another year before he attempts to make the jump to become a full time NHLer.
