There is a massive difference between someone who is already a 30-40 point player in the NHL and a guy who looks really great no one has idea how he’ll translate at the NHL level. No way Florida does this 1 for 1. (Caniac don’t murder my family for this)

Canes decline. Long term, the C depth in the prospect pool is fine. Necas can move across or Jarvis can do it. LD's incredibly weak. For a guy that's a top what 10 prospect in the NHL right now at a position the Canes pipeline is weak for a center who I absolutely love? Probably a little much. For Morrow, I'd be a lot happier.

Canes will pass. Nikishin has too much upside at the moment. Besides, wouldn’t it be smarter to move Bennett

Like caniac mentioned, I think the center depth, both on the roster and prospect wise is fine enough to not make this trade. Nikishin just has too much upside, and fits the Canes timeline on defense too well to part with right now. Maybe Morrow+ for Lundell, but I highly doubt they would part with Nikishin any time soon.
