Would rather not do the trade. Prefer that KJ and Marchenko stay in the top 6 and then either Chinakhov, Voronkov, or both get into the lineup.

This is actually a pretty decent out of the box trade. Both players have a very specific skill set. Neither are well rounded players. Maybe this change of scenery can help both.

The annoying thing about Olofsson is that when he hurt his arm and couldn't fire that rocket he showed pretty good passing skills and actually played some defense, so it's not like he can't do those things he chooses not to.

Why does Boqvist need a change of scenery? He could very well end up with a top 4 spot this year in Columbus and he has been excelling offensively when he's healthy. For all we know his defensive game will improve when he's not playing under Brad Larsen's idiotic defensive system as well. Seems like the definition of selling at a low point for Columbus with this trade.

I can understand if someone isn't in favor of the trade. It's a very minor move. I've tried to keep tabs on Boqvist, but I'll admit I don't watch a ton of CBJ. From what I've seen...seems like CBJ did a good job getting Boqvist to activate vertically in the PP and he's had a couple of nice goals on the PP. I have not seen anything so far that says he's gotten better defensively. Could it happen? Absolutely, AND I hope for his sake he has. Do I think he'll be top 4. No Jiricek Severson are much better

Regardless of whether Boqvist is worth anything, Columbus has no room or need for VO. With Texier back and Roslovic still on the team, there just isn't a top-9 wing role available, and no one is playing VO on the fourth... where Columbus also doesn't have room.

OP, I do commend you for that lineup, though. Rare to see a non-CBJ fan put together a mostly reasonable one. Jiricek won't be in the NHL and if Boqvist is moved, 2RD will be Peeke, though.
