How does this make ANY sense for either side? you know.. considering you have the Leafs with a 20 man roster and almost $3m over the cap. SMH

It’s not just that. In terms of value:

Boldy >> Nylander
Hartman >> Brodie
Middleton > 3rd round pick

Not to mention winger and left defense are the last positions Minnesota needs. Also, Minnesota gets WAY older.

I wish we could get Boldy and that stellar contract for Nylander. Hell Hartman and Middelton on top. Flyers ain’t retaining for 4 damn years

Boldy for seven seasons >>> Nylander and Brodie for one season

In fact, two seasons of Middleton is worth more to the Wild than one season of Brodie

And the chance that Nylander would re-sign in Minnesota plus the chance that Minnesota could afford him is an unlikely parlay

Minnesota doesn’t consider or do that package for Boldy alone. Let alone add Hartman and Middleton on top of it.
