I could see Minnesota doing that. The fact that Novak is very good and extremely cheap is super valuable to them.

If the Pred swanted to spend 8m on a UFA they would have. Giving up a first and more for eight years of Horvat doesn't seem to be good value. IMO, the Isles made a Isles made a mistake with Horvat trade and the resigning.

Horvat has topped 60 points twice in his career. He is not the center nashville needs.

I don't like the Horvat trade for NSH, but retaining a relatively nominal amount for so long is inadvisable for NYI.

Ok, sure go find another near point per game player who happens to be making 800k.

NSH has no interest in Garland. He is producing at nearly the same rate as Tomasino or Evangalista, and both of them are 5 and 6 years younger respectively. Makes no sense to trade assets for a player who would be a more expensive side grade. Boeser has higher scoring potential, which is why he is of more interest for NSH. NSH needs players who can score, not more players who can participate in the passing tourney that is NSH's power play.

Usually when a guy has a season that's obviously an aberration at the age of 26, you don't overpay for it.

A late first is not an overpayment.

VAN want to keep Boeser from recent reports and want to see him play a full season under Tocchet.
