At the risk of sounding like a broken record, once again the Hawks decline. They're not flipping draft assets for a player they don't need. As it is, they're already going to be waiving forwards heading into the season. This is not a year where they're playoff hopefuls, so why would they spend a 3rd round pick on a veteran?

Jarnkrok is a proven NHLer who can stay on past the trade deadline because he has three years left at a cheap cap hit. The hawks can easily recoup picks by trading Hall, Perry, etc at the trade deadline.

The Hawks have more than enough veterans on their roster for this season. Jarnkrok is a solid middle 6 forward, but he's just a redundant piece on the Hawks roster this season. No reason for Hawks to give up a 3rd to acquire him this season. Check back next summer. Maybe Hawks have more interest then. And the Hawks aren't trading Hall at the deadline. He was brought in specifically to play on a line w/ Bedard. Why would Hawks disrupt that?

Explain why the Hawks want a 31 year old average winger?
