reclamation projects

Description
Tampas signed Brown, keeping Myers so two reclamation projects of big strong former highly touted guys, similarly with Sean Day and Fleury. I guess thats the move when you have a great development staff and no picks. I'd like them to do the same with Serron Noel a former 2nd rounder big strong dude. I hated fleury last year seemed like he had no impact. Maybe they try to fix him in ahl and give sean day 7th d minutes. I think pul's potential is possible, sign him to this crazy number so they reach the cap ceiling opening night, then LTIR, bring up merela or brown whoever they want. Next year he'd be an rfa so he's under team control for one more year. He's great defensively and can skate, imagine him next to nick paul

Day is AHL depth as is Brown especially considering he's on a 2 way contract that pays 250k in the minors. BOGO will definitely be on the team over Sean Day. WTF would TB sign pool party? And those top 2 lines aren't close to what Wil be run.

Just seeing what they did with Darren Raddysh, undrafted guy turned him into a full time NHLer. I'm assuming thats what they're doing with Day cause they keep resigning him vs signing like a university free agent and trying to develop them instead. What if pul turns into what nichushkin did. I mean they can sign pul to a lower number and keep Bogo instead

I guess two things people's fascination with drastic underachievers like Pool party . and the dumping of guys who took less and have been a great teammate for you like Bogosian. Difference is TB has had Day all along Raddysh's problem in Hartford was he was in Hartford no offense to the Rangers organization, but their player development kinda sucks.
The whole Raddysh part is him and I'll quote JBB as best as I can remember without rewatching his Block Party exit interview. Darren has worked extremely hard and done everything we've asked him to improve all the credit is on him

I know this isn’t the point of the post, but the habs won’t waste their retention spot for that

Poolparty is an interesting thought, though I'd much rather go for Tatar for the top six on a cheaper contract instead. Proven vet, better offensively and on the powerplay, and he'd compliment us much better than Poolparty would.

MTL isn't likely to use a retention slot for a return of a fringe NHL player and a 3rd round pick, and multiple teams can beat our offer anyways.

I'll quote Phillip Danault from his initial Kings presser "This is the first time in 5 years I've been allowed to do one of these in English and it feels good." While it may not be a prerequisite it is heavily favored.

If you are in a french country and your native language is french, it’s normal you speak french to local french reporter. Lafrenière wasn’t aloud to answer a question from a french reporter in french and it’s absolutely normal. New York doesn’t speak french
