Description

Heard Francouz may not be ready for the start of the season. Since Hugues and AVS seem to have good relations having done some trades before, maybe one more could be DeSmith sent in to help them until Francouz is ready.

Seems also that Dvorak may not be ready for start of the season, hance why I placed him on IR with Monahan. So I moved Newhook and the third line as a center until Dvorak comes back.

Additional Details:

1st pick would probably between 25th and 32nd pick so Avs may be ok to move that pick for Desmith and Kovacevic since they could use another Defense and would most likely need a goalie until their second is ready to come back in.
*AVS may also want to ensure nothing goes sideways and put in the conditional top 10 protected just in case.

Additional Details:

Habs would probably request a prospect, like Beaucage may fit the Habs bill to Laval, Send back a 3rd to compensate. Kovacevic may be an inner piece AVS would want since he had a good season last year on a bad team. They already have lots of upcoming defense, so Kovacevic or Barron could be back on the block since they are upcoming RFAs to negociate.

Yeah no. I'll counter, though. We traded you a middle-six player with upside for 1st and 2nd round picks this summer. If that's your value for a middle-six player, then your value for a backup goalie (when you've got two other NHL goalies) should be no higher than a 4th rounder. We'll give you a 4th for DeSmith straight up.

MTL have 3 RHD, Savard Barron Kovacevic
None of them will be on the block lol especially Barron
Only Barron will be RFA, Kovacevic have another year at league minimum

Just saying he thinks Beaucage is worth a 3rd, so removing him & the 3rd would equal DeSmith + Kovacevic vs 2024 1st round pick (COL won’t touch that).
