Take it with a grain of salt, but from what I’ve heard, there was an offer from Philly for Joseph + Pinto, Sens didn’t like it and is now dead. But they have also talked about a minor player swap (Sokolov? Thomson?). Don’t think a trade involving Batherson Carry’s any weight, or Konecny/Tippett for that matter, I’ve heard Tippets relatively untouchable to them and DB is holding out for better offers for TK. (Wants an A prospect + 1st or 2 1sts)

No one is (outside of michkov and gauthier) is untouchable on the flyers. It'll just cost a higher stanza to snag tippett and TK, let alone both at the same time. But it is fun to think about, I think both teams could benefit from a trade like this.

They say that but wouldn't move Laughton for a high 1st. I personally think Tippett is pretty near untouchable right now he could be a 30-40 goal scorer for years to come.

In regards of Laughton, I believe it was one of the blue's late firsts. Laughton has value beyond the ice, great person in growing the game and being leader in the locker room. For the flyers it's a culture rebuild as well, so it makes sense why they value him so high. And agreed with Tippett, it'll cost equal to what tk is going for now

Not sure why Flyers are adding the 1st...

because i am a sens fan and want to fleece the flyers.......idk ya i know overpayment,,,,just wishful thinking

Ur missing probably 3 1st round picks going back to the Flyers at minimum lol. Instead let’s scrap this trade and do Greig and Stuzle for Seeler and a 3rd? That’s probably about the same likelihood of happening as this trade lol

Genuinely curious as to what people think of Batherson. I agree that the trade favors Ottawa heavily but I would see TK and Batherson almost as a wash, obviously Pinto and Joseph for Tippett and a 1st is no where near getting accepted but Flyers fans seem disproportionately upset about this? Is it because the 1st is likely high or is it Batherson's perceived value being low for some reason? Both?

I have no issue with Batherson, I personally would rather have Tk because he is a fan favorite. I wouldn’t say it’s a wash but TK isn’t significantly better. But Pinto isn’t worth even half of what Sens fans think he is. Joseph is also a bigger dump than Sens fans think he is. Just look at the MTL trade that just happened lol they had to pay a 3rd and take back 1.8M in cap for Pearson making $3.2M. Joseph is just as bad and makes $3M for the next THREE years lol. Not to mention Tippett is potentially a rising star and FLA’s 1st could literally be anywhere from lottery to late round lol. You would honestly be lucky to get Laughton for Pinto and Joseph let alone Tippett and a 1st.

Batherson has 4 years left at 4.975 AAV, Konecny has 2 years left at 5.5 AAV

Konecny is one year older and has two 61 pts seasons, Batherson scored 62 pts in a down season last year

Pinto and Joseph for Tippett and a late 1st

Batherson's 4 years vs 2 for Konecny make this proposal closer than what people will give credit for but Flyers don't do that because of Joseph's current value so you'd have to remove him from the deal. Problem is it also wouldn't work cap wise


Listen to other Flyers fans but not this one, nothing he says makes much sense
