You could probably remove the 3 SJS players going to EDM and SJS probably barely accepts it lol.

Unless Perry has a hell of a resurgence this season, a 2nd round pick seems a little steep. Don’t get me wrong, I would jump all over this if I’m Chicago.

I don’t know guys, I feel Campbell could rebound and be an expensive version of Reimer, and 2 solid prospects and a 1st for a rental (albeit 50% retained) and Benning isn’t a bad option! Kahkonen does have a chance to rebound as he is still a very talented goalie, but for now has negative value.

It's decent value, but depending on Duclairs season him at 50% retained could be worth a first on it's own come the deadline. Here we're sending out Benning & Duclair for a first and a one solid prospect while also taking on Ceci's bad contract and Jack Campbells god awful contract.

Oilers say no to both. Not even gonna start on the Sharks trade.....
Chicago trade, Oilers could use the 2nd round pick for a better player at a 2mill cap hit than Perry.

Ceci is a better fit to what we need right now honestly, and Campbell is a decent goalie who had a bad year, he’s not a top 20 but could be an average starter and bridge the gap till we can develop a guy! Worse case we have to bury him but buying him out won’t be necessary cause we won’t need that cap space till after his deal expires, same with Vlasic. And I like both Holloway and Savoie plus the 1st for our future more than rolling the dice on Duclair.

2nd doesn't get either of those players.

I could see Murphy getting a first, or second plus, which I already mentioned. No way Raddysh gets a first.

This isn’t a sharks offer this is Grier mulling over the Oilers offer! Sharks are happy never making the trade but if offered would consider it. Campbell is a long expensive deal for a bust of a goalie.

Lol no, this isn't a Holland idea at all. I mean, irrespective of cap hits,

Ceci > Benning
Campbell > Kahkonen

There's less than zero chance Holland offers Holloway + Savoie + 1st for a rental Duclair. He has never once in his career paid a 1st for a rental, he's not about to start now with Anthony Duclair.

Kahkonen < Campbell this may be true but you can’t deny
Kahkonen contract >>>>>>>>>Campbell contract!
Your comparing 2 players without taking into account the deal and the term and that’s silly, I would want Grier fired if he traded Kahkonen for Campbell straight up, it would require at least a sweetener or two.
As for Benning and Ceci they aren’t far off but again the contract for Benning if far more palatable then Ceci’s making him More appealing in my opinion, especially to a team in a cap crunch.

You don’t want the deal I’m ok with that as this isn’t a great deal for the sharks IMO. Again this was posted from an oilers fan not a sharks fan

Hardly. Artsy is a Red Wings fan.

For Edmonton the Campbell contract isn't an issue right now. They have the cap space, and since their goal is to win this year they aren't going to downgrade just to save money. The quality of the player is far more important to them.

Ceci and Benning aren't close. Ceci plays among the hardest 1RD minutes in the league, Benning plays sheltered 3rd pairing minutes. Again Edmonton has no interest in downgrading just to save a few bucks. Benning can't play top-4, we know that because he played in Edmonton for most of his career. Great 3rd pairing defenseman, but he doesn't have the mobility to move up the lineup.

So overall this AGM makes the Oilers worse now and in the future. That's unacceptable for a team whose goal is to win the Cup this year.
