8x and 27 year old sanheim probably needs something shiny to go with him to get that possibly anchor contract off the books going forward. Still think Philly should go scorched earth, and rebuild from the ground up, starting with amateur scouting and add as many picks and 2/3 year bad contracts, and get awful for a few seasons on purpose.

Sanheim doesn't really have any value right now. His contract is too risky unless it comes with some form of retention.

Sanheim is not a bad D-men, and I don't mind the idea of him in CGY, but that trade is very one sided because you're getting a 1st and a 2nd for Hanifin.
