This doesn’t work.

And honestly, I don’t want Pinto. I don’t think he is a fit with Suzuki and Caufield or Dach and Monahan. So, he wouldn’t be on our top 9

In 2016, Chicago and Carolina did something like this with Teravainen and Bickell for a 2rd pick and a 3rd pick. So, I think that's not impossible.

Putting aside the fact that this deal is absolute garbage for Ottawa, if you think Montreal is in any kind of position to be turning their noses up at a 22 year old C who scored 20 as a rookie, you're nuts lmao.

If, as rumored, you consider the price to dump Joseph contract is a 1st, then this isn't such a bad haul for Pinto. However, MTL just acquired Newhook, i don't see them trading for Pinto. And i'm sure Ottawa wants to keep him anyway. MTL should be all-in on Zegras.

Try Joshua Roy + 1st (CGY) + 2nd

Not interested? Ok well me neither not interested to trade Pinto in general and even less in the division

Had a Habs fan who told me Kubalik was not good or something… his 45 pts would have been 2nd on the Habs last season lol

The reason why they would trade Joseph is to sign Pinto. If they trade Pinto (which won’t happen), then they keep Joseph

Anyway, there’s no chance that they pay a 1st to move him, even Dorion is not that stupid. I actually think they don’t want to move him at all, they know he’ll bounce back and be more valuable than Josh Anderson for example

We would have to play him either with players he doesn’t fit with or on the fourth line

I genuinely just assume that you don't understand Ottawa's situation. The only reason to try to move Joseph is so they can sign Pinto. So why would they ever trade both of them? and if for some absurd reason, they HAVE to move Pinto, he would fetch a significantly better return than that
