laugh laugh You overvalue Guhle and the Calgary 2025 1st round pick. Because Pearson is negative value for any team right now. Pat Verbeek 100% declines. He can get a way better offer than this.

Why are we giving Ottawa assets for a player that they literally have to dump. It's already been reported that teams are asking for Ottawa to include a 1st to dump Joseph.

Anaheim declines. I love Guhle and think he is a Verbeek type player but would still need another high end piece with him and a 1st for Anaheim to consider it

Guhle is a Solid Top4... some expert was exploring this with a one on one type of deal with salary return player like Dvorak (but he is injured right now) so I chosen Pearson to be back in Cali+ 2nd round pick... but I decide a 1st would be a better offer instead.
Half of them said yes the other said No thanks I keep Guhle!

You undervalue Guhle, ANA shouldn't because of the prospect depth they have on D but, Guhle has serious potential to be a #1D so it would be a potential #1D for a potential #1C

Another option was Slavs + 2nd (I would add either Barron or Harris

1st is ON + Guhle + salary return is enough... if Verbeek wants more.. than MTL should be OUT

Who reported that? I'm sure his contract has people asking for something but a 1st is definitely as stretch

Thats because Joseph is having a good preseason. Anyone who watched the game last night saw what he can deliver. He is not a cap dump, he is a good role player. Lots of speed but hands of stone, plays a 200 foot game. The only reason people were saying that is because Ottawa has a cap crunch and he stands out because of his AAV playing middle 6.

Anaheim declines. As good a prospect as Guhle is, he's not as attractive to the Ducks as he would be to most other teams since Anaheim has such a solid pipeline on the left side, and a future first and a cap dump aren't stellar elements, either. Something like Mesar, Mailloux and your 2024 first is the kind of offer that would probably be necessary to outbid other teams.

Guhle is not a Prospect anymore same as Zegras... and the Only Studs Prospect Anaheim haves at LHD is Zellweger... other are Drysdale who will be TOP 4 with Guhle... Fowler couler play PP minutes on the right side.

Cap is exactly why Ottawa will have to pay to get rid of him, there's like 4 teams with cap space and the cap space that's left for those teams is more valuable than Joseph. Hence the ridiculous asking price

Guhle is still eligible for the Calder Trophy, so he's still a prospect. Regardless of semantics, my point is that he has at least as bright a future as Jamie Drysdale (who, by the way, has more than twice as many games under his belt).

I think that Pavel Mintyukov is a better LhD prospect than either Zellweger or Jackson LaCombe. And again, that depth is what makes Guhle, as enticing an acquisition as he might be, less essential to Anaheim than he might be to most other teams.

Reported or not, you have seen Joseph play before (with a reminder from last night), you know that Ottawa is not going to pay anything close to that to move him and will instead look at other options

Joseph is safe in Ottawa as long as teams will ask a high compensation. You usually don't pay to trade a good player. They will go with another option

Only way they'd trade Joseph IMO is if they can make a hockey trade and this is a hockey trade. The value is fair I'd say

Would you trade Cole Caufield for Tristan Luneau, Jakob Silfverberg and a 1st round pick?
