Youd trade a future elite LHD for a 60 point center the Ducks dont even want that badly? Theres a reason he hasnt signed yet.

It's not, and another undersized LHD is the last thing Anaheim needs.

Who's prospect ranking has Houston head and shoulders above Zellweger and Mintyukov?

You need to fact check, Hutson is 5'10" 161 lbs now according to his BC bio

Did either if them break Brian Leech's college scoring record? Or maybe one of them outscored Cale Makar in the NCAA like Hutson has. Nope neither of them has, Hutson would be at the head of the line in terms of raw talent out of the 3 of them

quinn hughes is 180 pounds.

also, if quinn hughes wasnt one of the best skaters in the league with high end passing and escapability, his size would be incredibly limiting in his effectivness at the NHL level. are you sure hutson will be a Quinn Hughes level guy?

No, they ONLY won defenseman of the year in the OHL and WHL, they were ONLY the top producing defenseman in their entire league on a PPG basis, and top 10-15 amongst all skaters in their leagues.

They didn't break any NCAA records, since you know, they didn't play in the NCAA, but thanks for answering the question of whose prospect rankings have him head and shoulders above our own guys.

He already has shown in one year at college that he has the skating, passing and escapability equal to or better than Hughes. 48 points in 36 games against more physically mature guys than either Zwelleger or Mintyukov is why he is ahead of them.

LMAO, using JR achievements to comp a guy who literally outscored both of them in his JR days as well. Mintyukov had 88 points last year, Zwelleger had 80, Hutson had 93 when he was in the USHL, still better than the 2 Ducks

Yeah, because the OHL, WHL, and USHL and 100% equivalent leagues.......

Better than? Is that why Zellweger out produced Huston at the WJC20 tournament in the same number of games? Mints sadly couldn't attend given the whole Russian war issue, but he would have performed equally well had he attended.

But sure thing bud "Huston is TOTALLY the best prospect of the three" wink

Ducks still decline the trade on the grounds of insufficient return. Now toddle off.

Unless Anaheim gets an offer that blows their doors off, he isn't getting traded. Anaheim is holding all the cards much like Toronto and Nylander a few years ago

from what I've heard and read Zegras wants 4yrs but he wants 8yr money.

Take a look at some of these NHL affiliated prospects rankings they are truly all over the place. There is one that has Bedard ranked 6th.

That's my offer for Zegras (and that's enormous) :

Barron, Justin
Beck, Owen
Dvorak, Christian
1st round pick 2024 (MTL) (no protection)
1st round pick 2025 (MTL) (top 10 protection)
2nd round pick 2026 (MTL)

What do you think ?

He wants the same type of deal that Mathews got from TO. Anaheim is not giving a penny more than $5M. This a recipe for disaster for Anaheim

I saw that and I think it's too much. Personally I wouldn't trade that 2024 1st.

I don't know what Anaheim would want in terms of prospects. They have good D prospects both LHDs and RHDs. Strome probably starts as the #1C but McTavish isn't far behind him and they passed up Fantilli to draft Carlsson so they have to like him a lot.

Does Zegras make Montreal a contender this season? It's the only way that giving up that much for 1 player makes sense.
