There’s no one to replace Brannstrom so won’t happen

I doubt they put branstrom on waivers, but that prospect pool with the probable loss of 2 1sts and a 2nd in the past 5 seasons is a bit alarming.

And we all know Coach DJ isn't very fond of Brannstrom.

I always knew Guenette would be better than JBD and Thomson.

I cant see it, I was shocked about them not trying to trade Sokolov, JBD or thomson though, somebody would have thrown them a 4th at least for each of those.

if Branstrom doesn;t make team, I could see a Brannstrom as having value.

I could see the Hawks taking a shot on JBD if he makes it to them in the waiver claim process.

And this is without Pinto😲 Dorion has really put this team in a bad Cap situation.

One of Kuba;lik or Joseph have to go for Pinto, but to think that 2 1sts and a 2nd over the past 5 drafts, all 22-23 yrs old have been lost for NOTHING, when each is probably worth at worst a 4th. By a team that didn;t even make the playoffs. Serious asset mismanagement.

Dorion has proven time after time that he has no idea about players' values and that he can be talked into about anything. Examples :

- I know you're rebuilding but Gustavsson is not that good, I'll give you 35 y/o UFA-to-be Cam Talbot for him

- I know about the urban legend that are "cap dumps" but you need Derek Stepan and his relatively cheap 6.5 AAV, give me a 2nd round pick

- You don't want to trade Mike Hoffman to an Eastern team? Ok I'll give you Mikkel Boedker who is still in his prime and a 6th round pick. Give me Mike and a 5th, ok? (Then SJ flips him to the Panthers with a 7th for a 2nd, a 4th and a 5th)

In the real world, there'd be no chance that Brannstrom is not the 5th best D-man on this team (would be 2nd pairing on many teams) but with Dorion, you never know... could be waived which is why my Sens colleague made this thread
