Don’t sleep on Evangelista! I didn’t waste a ~16th round pick on him in last night’s fantasy draft for nothing!

I'm biased but I think Hughes cracks 50 points. He is the QB for a PP unit with Jack, Bratt, Palat, and Toffoli. He is going to feast.

It’s a good list. There will likely be some oddballs in the mix too…those are the hard ones to pick.

My darkhorses were Tye Kartye and Georgii Merkulov.

This rookie class is unbelievable. I can't remember a rookie class being this deep.

Fantilli is probably top 3 and it's pretty much guaranteed to be one of him, Bedard, of Cooley who wins it
Hughes will probably finish somewhere between 4-7 in voting but I think his odds of winning it are next to zero. This year is just too stacked with offensive talent to win as a defenseman on he 2nd PP unit. I think you have his points projection a bit too high too, probably around 30-35 points like Power last year
I would give all of Knies, Coronato, Levi, and Wright a legitimate outside shot at the Calder simply due to opportunity. Levi could play 35+ games this year, the others could all potentially have a 50+ point season depending on what line and what powerplay unit they end up.
Evangelista should also be on here, at least over some of the defense I would also take Faber over Clarke and Jiricek too

I’d put Evangelista in the 6-8 range on this list
