Ottawa would only trade Brannstrom to save cap to sign Pinto. This trade won’t work.

The Sens won't be taking any cap back in a Brännström trade. The only reason they trade him would be to clear space for Pinto.

Brännström for a pick (likely a 2nd) would work better.

I'm not sure why Ottawa would do this?

Carrier makes 0.5 AAV more and is 3 years older than Brannstrom who was more PRODUCTIVE last season and way better defensive metrics. Actually both offensively and defensively

No way I'd add picks to that swap.

That's an easy pass from NSH then. The Preds don't have room on their backend to add another guy, and a 2nd is much too much.
