If the price was so low, Ottawa would have traded him away already.

The issue is that teams probably ask Ottawa to throw in a 2nd round to take Joseph.

Joseph being a "cap dump" was always a stupid CF/internet thing and will progressively die during the season. Some people are just a bit slow that's all

Yes some teams wanted a high compensation due to the reality of the market but if Joseph was really a "dump", someone would have taken a 2nd already and it would be over.

Dorion is a really bad GM but the whole Sens management/coaching KNOW it would be a mistake to pay to move him.

They wouldn't care about Lindström but Ylönen + 4th would actually be interesting enough for them to do it and move on but they know they'd make a divisional rival much harder to play against. I guess they'd bank on Montreal not being competitive enough for the whole 3 seasons left on Joseph's contract.

PK, forecheck, speed are all important elements of the hockey game, and Joseph has shown an improved wicked shot so far this season.

Cope, Dorion will have to pay to move him or wait until TDL to move Kubalik. Rn he is hoping Pinto signs at 1M$ which is greedy af

Cope

Cope what? lol

Looks like I have to remind you the basics, this is an internet forum. I have no control over what Dorion does or not. All I can do is to tell you what I think he should do or not

It is very simple :

- Don't pay anything to move Joseph
- Actually, simply keep him
- Trade Kubalik

Why would you have to wait at the trade deadline to move Kubalik? That doesn't make sense whatsoever.

Cause no one wants to help the Sens so he has to pay to move him, which he doesnt want to do otherwise he wouldve done it by now. Only way he gets assets is if he waits until TDL when a contending team needs bottom 6 help. But then Pinto doesnt play for 60 games.

PAY to move who? Kubalik?

I'd be ready to take a bet on that

Let's see, you're a Montreal Canadiens fan? Only 1 player scored more points than Kubalik last season and not a lot paced more than him despite not playing anywhere near 81 games. He makes only 2.5 AAV for 1 year, there's absolutely no risk to take him and he's going to have more value at the deadline when all the playoffs team will be able to fit him under the cap (even more if retention)

And the "he wouldve done it by now" argument doesn't mean much simply because we have very little info of what is really going on.
