I'm ok with JVR or Geekie being the temporary answer there for now, end of the day this is still a bit of a gap year cause of out cap situation and lack of picks. Unless an absolute no doubter move become available around the deadline, I'm fine with letting this team ride as is. But come this offseason we have A TON of cap space to go after someone. Nylander would be cool if the leafs can't re-sign him. Reinhart would make a ton of sense as well cause he can play center as well.

Bruins aren't trading Calo, he's been excellent to start the year and is a huge part of the post-Bergeron leadership core.

The best fix would be to add a center and move zacha back to the wing but that's a whole bigger deal. I think they go jvr for now and see how it goes. Getting farther into the season and teams start fading you can get a wing.

I think Poitras, Debrusk and Geekie played really well last game. Geekie isn't perfect, but he's still learning the system and fitting into a new team. I think his size/possession game plays well with the speed that Debrusk and Poitras bring
