Xhekaj getting a first is unlikely - he's Romanov with more puck moving skills but way more penalties

You don't get Brannstrom for a 7th

I'd rather have a guy I need to try to restrain than one I need to push. Plus come playoff time (not this season obviously) there are no soft calls.

I’m interested but we’re jammed up on the left side would definitely do this at the start of the offseason though

Maybe it's just me but gotta give a 20 yo kid in his 2nd year in the league some slack. He does take a lot of penalties but so do most rookies and sophomores, there is a learning curve and some guys learn quickly others progress a bit slower but you don't cut bait just cause he plays right on the edge

Yeah definitely trade the toughest guy in the league to the team that has the 2nd toughest guy in the league who also happens to be our closest rivals. rolling eyes

Here is a better idea, next time the Habs lose a game - and they will lose a lot this year, don't come to CF and vent trade the players that had a bad game. Turn the Tv off, get a snack, take a deep breath then remember that this team is rebuilding and has one of the youngest teams in the league. They will make mistakes and take penalties, especially against a team like the Devils. Especially against god-mode Jack Hughes. He makes literally everyone look bad.

Sens trading Brannstrom for a 7th would be stupid because they actually need him (Zub is injured, no one outside of him could play Top-4 if another injury, Kleven need a bit of AHL development) and that wouldn't even create enough cap space to sign Pinto

Xhekaj didn’t look bad, we just need to trade someone that takes a lot of penalties
